Synopsis:


The ordinary becomes extraordinary, dreams and reality intertwine, and nothing is quite as it seems when you enter the Twilight Zone.



Vol. 1:


Night of the Meek - A drunk and forlorn department-store Santa Claus discovers that wishes do come true - in the Twilight Zone.


The Invaders - When a flying saucer lands in her attic, a woman is terrified to discover she is no longer alone in her isolated home.


Nothing in the Dark - An elderly woman grapples with guilt and fear as a wounded policeman begs to enter her home. Is he Mr. Death in disguise?



Vol. 2:


Time Enough at Last - Bookworm Henry Bemis longs for nothing more than to read in peace and is surprised to find his wish granted - in dramatic fashion - one weekday afternoon.


The Monsters are Due on Maple Street - Inexplicable events lead the residents of Maple Street to believe they're under an extraterrestrial attack - and that some of their neighbors may be alien invaders.


Nightmare at 20,000 Feet - Robert Wilson, a salesman on his first flight since suffering a nervous breakdown on another airliner, is horrified to discover a gremlin tampering with his plane. But Robert's nightmare doesn't truly begin until he attempts to alert others to the dangerous creature.


The Odyssey of Flight 33 - After being blown off course by a peculiar tailwind, flight 33 manages to arrive at its destination - well ahead of schedule.



Vol. 3:


Steel - In a future that allows only androids to box, penniless and desperate manager Steel Kelly enters the ring disguised as his broken-down robot.


A Game of Pool - Desperate to prove himself the greatest in the game, talented pool player Jesse wishes for a showdown with the legendary - and deceased - Fats Brown. Much to his surprise, Fats appears to grant his request - if Jesse will wager his life.


Walking Distance - Frazzled executive Martin Sloan takes a detour to his hometown - and finds that he has traveled back in time.


Kick the Can - Charles Whitley, an elderly resident of Sunnyvale Rest Home, thinks he has discovered the secret of eternal youth - in a simple children's game.



Vol. 4:


Mr. Dingle, the Strong - When he is unwittingly made the subject of an extraterrestrial experiment, timid salesman Luther Dingle finds himself suddenly endowed with incredible powers!


Two - In a deserted city ravaged by nuclear warfare, two survivors find one another - and discover that they are from opposite sides of the war.


A Passage for Trumpet - After stepping in front of a speeding truck, struggling musician Joey Crown is startled to awaken in an unfamiliar version of New York City - where he just might discover the second chance he needs.


The Four of Us are Dying - Arch Hammer, a con man with an unusual talent, finds himself in trouble when he's caught in the wrong place - and face - at the wrong time.



Vol. 5:


Long Distance Call - When five-year-old Billy begins spending all his time talking with his recently deceased grandmother on his toy telephone, his parents grow concerned about their otherworldly connection.


I Sing the Body Electric - After the untimely passing of her mother, young Anne struggles to accept the affection of Grandma, a lifelike and loving robot who has moved in to care for her family.


The Lonely - Corry, a convicted murderer sentenced to fifty years of solitary imprisonment on an asteroid, has his life turned upside down when a sympathetic supply ship captain leaves him an unusual gift.


Probe 7 - Over and Out - Astronaut Colonel Cook is stranded on a strange planet as his home world is destroyed by war. Discovering another lone survivor from another extinct world, Colonel Cook attempts to communicate and make the best of his new home.



Vol. 6:


The Passersby - On the road home after fighting in the Civil War, a wounded soldier seeks respite with war widow Lavinia - and the pair soon encounters a number of strange visitors.


The Grave - When notorious outlaw Pinto Sykes vows vengeance from his deathbed, hired gunman Conny Miller heads to the graveyard to settle the score.


Deaths-Head Revisited - A former Nazi captain returns to the concentration camp over which he once presided, where he encounters a familiar face - and long-overdue justice.


The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank - When Jeff Myrtlebank returns to life at his funeral service, his neighbors flee in terror - even though Jeff claims they have nothing to fear.



Vol. 7:


Perchance to Dream - Edward Hall is terrified of falling asleep - certain a mysterious woman in his dreams is plotting to kill him.


The Hitch-Hiker - Lone traveler Nan Adams gets back on the road after dealing with a blown tire - only to see the same hitchhiker everywhere she goes.


King Nine Will Not Return - Captain James Embry awakens in a vast desert next to the wreckage of a crashed plane - and becomes increasingly disoriented as he struggles to find his crew and notices futuristic jet planes flying overhead.


Shadow Play - Adam Grant, a man trapped in a recurring nightmare in which he is continually sentenced to death, tries desperately to prove to those around him that they are existing in a dream.



Vol. 8:


Third from the Sun - With all-out nuclear war about to ignite, scientist William Sturka and his pilot friend Jerry make a desperate plan to save their families: steal a top-secret spaceship and escape to a distant planet.


The Shelter - When disaster seems imminent, a friendly birthday party turns into a battle for space in the hosts' fallout shelter.


To Serve Man - When the Kanamits arrive on Earth, they seem to bring good will, prosperity, and wisdom. But cryptographers Michael and Patty, tasked with decoding a book left behind by one of the extraterrestrial visitors, can't help but wonder if there might be a catch.


The Fugitive - Old Ben, a kindly fugitive from another planet, risks everything to help a little girl.



Vol. 9:


Nick of Time - A superstitious newlywed becomes obsessed with a fortune telling machine - and his wife begins to question whether the object is foretelling their future or determining it.


The Prime Mover - When Ace Larsen discovers that his business parter, Jimbo, can move things with his mind, he takes Jimbo to Vegas, eager to cash in on his talent.


It's a Good Life - The residents of Peaksville, Ohio believe that every day is better than the last - because if they don't, they'll feel the wrath of six-year-old Anthony Fremont.


The Mind and the Matter - A book on the power of concentration enables irritable misanthrope Archibald Beechcroft to reshape the world to his liking - and teaches him to be careful what he wishes for.
